A masterwork of mid-century Indigenous textile art, this exceptional, authentic Navajo Ganado rug dates to circa 1940. It features an incredibly dense, museum-quality weave of 66 threads per square inch, far exceeding standard mid-century textiles. Woven entirely by hand from premium hand-spun wool, the central stepped medallion and crisp serrated borders showcase sharp geometric symmetry, achievable only by a master weaver.

It features a stark, high-contrast palette of striking “Ganado Red” and deep charcoal black set against a crisp, luminous off-white field. The composition centers on an exquisite, perfectly balanced stepped medallion, framed beautifully by sharp, complex serrated borders that speak to the mathematical precision of its creator.

Modern interior designers and high-end collectors seek out this specific size, 36" x 32", because it is highly versatile. substantial enough to hold presence as a textile artwork, while still easy to display as a wall hanging, framed piece, or layered accent within an interior. It brings history, warmth, and a distinct Southwestern point of view to a space.
